I graduated from San Jose State University with a Bachelor Degree in Nursing Sciences in 1980. I received a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology at John F. Kennedy University, Campbell CA, in 2009. I have worked in In-Patient Psychiatry as a Registered Nurse with children, adolescents and adults. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional by the International Association of Trauma Professionals. I was trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, (E.M.D.R.) at the E.M.D.R. Institute founded by Francine Shapiro, Ph.D., originator and developer of E.M.D.R. I am Certified through the E.M.D.R. International Association (E.M.D.R.I.A.) which offers further training, and certification, as well as research in E.M.D.R.. I have had a life-long interest in Psychology and all aspects of human behavior and suffering. I am particularly interested in neurobiology, how trauma and chronic stress affects the brain and body, and treatments that show promise in alleviating emotional distress and relationship conflicts. I am passionate about helping my clients move past self limiting beliefs that keep them from actualizing their full potential. Life is too precious to be wasted. Every life can have purpose and meaning. I currently holds membership in the following: California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (C.A.M.F.T.) E.M.D.R.I.A.
